Your website works. Some of the people you need are still leaving.

Sites rarely fail in one place. They leak, in eight small places, and every one of them was a sensible decision at the time. This finds them, ranks them, and tells you what each costs to fix.

UX Audit

Ten working days. Up to eight pages and one task walked end to end, on a laptop and on a phone. Everything scored against Peter Morville's UX Honeycomb, so you get a framework rather than my opinion.

The fee comes off in full if you book a project within ninety days.

This is for you if you're thinking...

You have known the website was wrong for a while. What you need is not another opinion. It is a document with your chief executive's name on the distribution list that says what is wrong and what it costs to fix.

Does this sound like you?

"People find us, then we never hear from them."

"We are about to spend real money on a rebuild and we are guessing."

"Nothing is obviously broken, which is why I cannot get anyone to act."

Find the leaks before you spend on a rebuild

Five findings, each one saying what is happening, what it costs you, what to do instead and roughly what that would take. Ranked, so you know what to do first and what to leave alone.

What's included

Ten working days. A fixed scope, agreed before the invoice goes out.

Up to eight pages, scored

You pick them with me before we start, and the homepage is always one. Each one is assessed against Peter Morville's UX Honeycomb, which means the findings sit on a framework instead of on taste.

One task walked end to end

You choose the one thing you most want a visitor to do. Donate, enquire, apply, book, sign up. I walk it the way a first-time visitor would, on a laptop and on a phone, and note every point where somebody would hesitate.

Five findings, ranked

Each one says what is happening, why it costs you something, what to do instead and roughly what that would take. Ranked by impact against effort, so the order tells you where to start and what to leave.

Annotated screenshots

So your team can see exactly what is happening and why, and so you can put the document in front of people who were not in the conversation.

What your brand is doing to your usability

Every UX Audit ends here. More often than not, the reason a site is hard to use is that the organisation has never agreed what to call things. If that is what I find, it goes in the report as a finding.

We agree the eight pages and the one task

Half an hour, at the start. You tell me what better would look like, and which single thing you most want a visitor to do. That gets written into the order, so the scope is fixed before you are invoiced.

02

I read the site the way a stranger would

Cold, with no briefing, because that is the condition your visitors arrive in. Then the same pages again against the UX Honeycomb, looking for the patterns that affect clarity and confidence.

03

I walk your critical task

End to end, on a laptop and on a phone, noting every point where a real person would hesitate, double back or give up.

04

Five findings, ranked and costed

Practical fixes, not vague opinions, ranked by impact against effort. Each one carries a rough cost, so the document works as a budget conversation as well as a design one.

05

We go through it together

An hour on a call, where you can push back on any of it. Afterwards the report is yours. Take it in-house, take it to another studio, or bring the work to us. If you book a project within ninety days the fee comes off in full.

"Our client loved the insights you found, can you do it for another?"
