A rebrand to align Alison's visual credibility to her professional excellence

Alison Berrisford is a highly skilled personal trainer trusted by elite performers, from professional racing drivers to footballers. She needed a brand that matched the quality of her coaching, built immediate credibility at the top end of sport, and still felt welcoming to committed gymgoers. We took Alison through our full brand process, pressure-tested the direction with her existing clients, and evolved the identity into something more premium, more distinctive, and more aligned with the world of professional sport.

Our brief

Alison Berrisford specialises in coaching elite athletes, counting professional racing drivers and footballers among her clients. Despite an impressive reputation, Alison felt her brand no longer reflected the premium, professional service she delivered.

The challenge was balance. The brand needed to build immediate trust with elite athletes who are used to high-performance environments, while still appealing to regular fitness enthusiasts and gymgoers who value Alison’s approachable personality.

As Alison’s first client, this project mattered for another reason too. It was about capturing the essence of what already worked, then elevating it so Alison could step into the next stage of her business with confidence.

Our approach

We ran Alison through our full brand process, starting with honest discovery. We looked at what was working, what was holding the brand back, and what her ideal clients needed to feel in the first few seconds of encountering her.

A key part of the process was validation. We gathered insights directly from Alison’s existing clients, understanding what they liked about the old brand and what concerns they had about change. That gave us a clear brief for evolution rather than reinvention, protecting the equity she had already built.

From there, we defined Alison’s vision, mission, and tone of voice, then built a visual language that felt both authentic and forward-thinking. The aim was a brand that could sit comfortably alongside the professional sports brands her clients already recognise, without losing Alison’s warmth and humanity.

Our impact

Before the rebrand, Alison’s business was steady, but not yet achieving its full potential at the elite end of the market. She had a couple of high-level athletes, but most clients were regular gymgoers.

Within a year of launching the refreshed brand, Alison’s clientele grew significantly. She now trains half a dozen elite athletes, including a promising young star on the junior racing circuit.

We are not taking all the credit. Alison’s skill and dedication speak for themselves. But by giving her brand the professional polish it deserved, we helped her show up with more confidence, stand out in the right rooms, and attract the high-calibre clients she was aiming for.
