Accessible website design
An accessible website works for people with sight loss, motor impairments and cognitive differences, and for anyone squinting at a phone in bright sunlight. Building it in from the first sketch is far easier than fixing it after launch.
Accessibility as a design decision
LDN London's brief asked for WCAG 2.2 AA as a minimum and AAA where feasible. Their familiar pink and light teal failed contrast checks as text colours, so instead of dropping colours people liked, we found deeper shades of the same pink, teal and blue that pass AA or AAA.
For people who find processing information difficult, we kept repeating sections consistent, kept text off complex photographs and avoided carousels, tabs and anything that moves on its own.
Your brand, made to pass
Colour palettes are adjusted to meet contrast standards while staying recognisably yours.
Beyond the checklist
Layout, language and interaction are designed for how people actually take in a page, as well as for automated tests.
How it works
Align on goals and success metrics
We get clear on what the website needs to achieve, who it needs to persuade, and what “good” looks like for your organisation.
Understand your audience and content
We review what you have, what you need, and what your audience is trying to do. Then we shape a plan for content and structure that supports their journey.
Design the experience and interface
We design key pages and patterns with UX and UI working together, so the site feels intuitive, consistent, and on-brand.
Build and refine
We produce the site with care, test across devices, and refine the details that affect clarity, accessibility, and conversion. We might use Webflow for less complex projects or bring in our partner to build the enterprise-level solution you need. We'll guide you to the right decision.
Launch with confidence
We help you go live with a site your team understands and can stand behind, with a foundation that is ready to evolve.
Make your website work for everyone
Tell us about your audience and the standard you need to meet, whether that's AA, AAA or a funder's requirement.
Our 'why' & promise to you
A website that shuts people out loses them, and their trust. Accessibility is part of good design from the first sketch.
This work exists to help you show up online with clarity and confidence, with a website that works for everyone in your audience and respects their time.
You’ll get clarity before we touch the visuals
You will not be sold a design style first. We will earn the design through goals, audience needs, and message structure.
You’ll have an experience built around real journeys
You will get a site that guides people through the decisions they are trying to make, whatever device, ability or assistive technology they bring.
You’ll get craft in the details
You will get work that feels considered in the small things, from contrast and type size to focus states and mobile behaviour.
You’ll launch with confidence, not crossed fingers
You will know what is live, why it is live, and how it supports the next phase of growth.
